Book Review: Blind Date With A Book Boyfriend by Lucy Eden

Blind Date With a Book Boyfriend Book review
Synopsis

Hi, I’m Jordyn. I flew from New York to Culver City, CA to interview for the job of a lifetime. When I walked into The Bookstore, I only wanted a steamy romance or two to help pass the time before my big meeting.

I walked out with a gorgeous and sweet, cinnamon roll who was more funny and charming than all of my favorite book boyfriends combined, which definitely wasn’t the plan.

But Mike was irresistible, and the time we spent together exploring Culver City was more fun than I’ve had in a long time.

But I’m smart enough to know if something feels too good to be true, it probably is.I mean, Happily Ever Afters are just for fairy tales and romance novels … right?

If you were using me for my money, you’d be worth every fucking penny.

Needless to say, I enjoyed Blind Date With A Book Boyfriend a little too much. Micah, the male protagonist, caught my attention with his endearing habit of referring to Jordyn, the female protagonist, as “baby doll.”

However, it was Micah’s passion for romance novels that truly won me over. His love for the genre was infectious and his soft-hearted nature made him all the more charming.

And, while Micah appeared really sweet on the surface, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a cheeky side to him as well. His hidden potty mouth and tendency to blush only added to his overall appeal. I mean, what more could a reader ask for in a leading man? Needless to say, Blind Date With A Book Boyfriend left me thoroughly satisfied and eager for more.

Lucy Eden’s storytelling skills are simply outstanding, and this novella is an absolute masterpiece that had me hooked from start to finish. The characters are so brilliantly developed that I found myself wholly invested in their lives, feeling every emotion as though I were living their experiences myself.

What I found particularly impressive was how the author played with different tropes, making the story feel fresh and engaging. Every turn of the page was a delightful surprise that left me yearning for more.

The meet-cute between the two characters was an absolute delight, and I was positively giddy with excitement. I was so taken aback by the palpable chemistry between them, which was apparent from the very first glance.

It was as though the universe had conspired to bring them together, and the sheer attraction they radiated was nothing short of infectious. What I found particularly endearing was the way they were both clearly utterly smitten with each other, as though they had found their missing piece.

It was evident in the way they spoke to each other, their eyes never leaving each other’s gaze, and the way their souls seemed to gravitate toward one another over the course of the day.

In conclusion, Lucy Eden has created an incredible piece of fiction that every reader should have the pleasure of experiencing. The book’s balance between a heartwarming romance and an enthralling plot is nothing short of perfection. If you’re looking for a captivating read that will leave you wanting more, this novella is an absolute must-read.
