In all my years of watching Korean dramas, one thing that has always remained true is that a good and engaging rich boy and poor girl Kdrama is unbeaten.

This is one trope that never appears overdone or stale, and I love the variety that hits our screens every single year. 

In this list, I have compiled my favorite rich boy poor girl Kdramas of all time, and I’m sure you’ll find one that you will enjoy.

1. Goblin: The Lonely And Great God (2016)

Starring: Gong Yoo as Kim Shin, Kim Go Eun as Ji Eun Tak, and Lee Dong Wook as Grim Reaper.

Plot: Cursed with immortality, the rich goblin Kim Shin is in search of a bride who can end his painful existence and free him from the endless cycle of watching the people around him die. 

His search comes to an end when he finally meets Ji Eun Tak, a poor but cheerful high school student.

And the goblin, who was yearning to die, finds himself wanting to live now.

2. What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018)

Starring: Park Seo Joon as Lee Young Joon, Park Min-young as Kim Mi So, and Lee Tae Hwan as Lee Sung Yeon.

Plot: This is one classic rich boy poor girl Kdrama that made the globe spin for a few years.

Accompanied by his incredible secretary Kim Mi So, the rich and handsome Lee Young Joon enjoys climbing the ladder of success. 

But his world comes crashing down when his secretary decides to quit.

Lee Young Joon is now determined to keep her by his side and in his quest to do so, they both discover and heal their shared traumas from the past.  

3. Kill Me Heal Me (2015)

Starring: Ji Sung as Cha Do Hyun, Hwang Jung Eum as Oh Ri Jin, and Park Seo Joon as Oh Ri On.

Plot: Cha Do Hyun, the rich heir to a multinational conglomerate, develops MPD due to a traumatic experience.

His split personalities make life more than difficult for him, and he seeks a respite to bring some light into his life.  

A psychiatric resident, Oh Ri Jin, ends up falling in love with one of his less-than-stellar personalities, and this opens up a can of worms nobody expected.

Together, they go on the journey of love and healing to help Cha Do Hyun take back control of his life. 

4. Fated To Love You (2014)

Starring: Jang Hyuk as Lee Gun, Jang Na Ra as Kim Mi Young, and Choi Jin Hyuk as Kim Tae Ho.

Plot: An office clerk Kim Mi Young accidentally ends up spending one night with a charming stranger who turns out to be the heir of a big company. 

The fateful encounter changes her world when she discovers she is pregnant, and soon, she is forced to marry Lee Gun.

Lee Gun, who is initially annoyed by all this, starts to warm up with Mi Young with time but their happiness is short-lived as a sudden incident makes Lee Gun forget all about Mi Young.

5. Shopping King Louis (2016)

Starring: Seo In Guk as Louis / Kang Ji Sung, Nam Ji Hyun as Ko Bok Shil, and Yoon Sang Hyun as Cha Joong Won.

Plot: If you love Kdramas about rich boys and poor girls, then you will enjoy this drama about a rich heir obsessed with shopping.

The rich shopaholic Louis meets a girl from the countryside, and she teaches him many valuable lessons. 

While one has a habit of buying everything that speaks to his soul, the other lives a life of minimalism and tends to find more value in small acts of kindness.

Finding each other makes them understand different perspectives in life as they both continue to learn from each other.   

6. Clean With Passion For Now (2018)

Starring: Kim Yoo Jung as Gil Oh Sol, Yoon Kyun Sang as Jang Seon Kyul, and Song Jae Rim as Choi Ha In.

Plot: Rich and good-looking Jang Seon Kyul suffers from mysophobia and is obsessed with cleaning, so much so that he even owns a cleaning company.

His life changes after carefree Gil Oh Sol joins his company. Their story starts with bickering and bantering, but eventually, Jang Seon Kyul falls in love with this not-so-tidy new employee.  

7. Dali And The Cocky Prince (2021)

Starring: Kim Min Jae as Jin Moo Hak, Park Gyu Young as Kim Dali, and Kwon Yul as Jang Tae Jin.

Plot: After their first meeting in the Netherlands, Kim Dali and Jin Moo Hak cross paths once again as debtor and creditor.

While one is a restaurateur known to be a not-so-dignified man, the other is the smart and only daughter of an upper-class family that ended up being debtors to Jin Moo Hak.

Opposite attracts as they say, and these two soon begin to develop mutual respect, love, and understanding. 

8. Birth of a Beauty (2014)

Starring: Joo Sang Wook as Han Tae Hee, Han Ye Seul as Sara, and Jung Gyu Woon as Lee Kang Joon.

Plot: Betrayed by her husband and his family, the overweight Sa Geum Ran returns as a stunning lady Sara after a full body makeover.

Han Tae Hee, who she believes to be her plastic surgeon, helps Sara to ruin the marriage of her ex-husband Lee Kang Joon.

The story takes a turn when Sara and Han Tae Hee begin to get closer while conspiring to sow discord between Lee Kang Joon and his fiancée. 

9. Crazy Love (2022)

Starring: Kim Jae Wook as Noh Go Jin, Krystal Jung as Lee Shin Ah, and Ha Joon as Oh Se Gi.

Plot: Lee Shin Ah is an introverted secretary trying her best to cope with her rude boss Noh Go Jin, the CEO of South Korea’s top institute of Mathematics.

But, when she is diagnosed with a brain tumor, she blames it all on the mental stress caused by Go Jin and decides to take revenge on him for ruining her life.

However, her revenge plan doesn’t go as planned as destiny took control of the wheel. 

10. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017)

Starring: Park Bo Young as Do Bong Soon, Park Hyung Sik as Ahn Min Hyuk, and Ji Soo as In Guk Doo.

Plot: Born with the inherited superhuman strength bestowed on females in her family but unable to secure stable employment, Do Bong Soon finds a perfect and highly-paid job being a bodyguard when Ahn Min Hyuk, the CEO, and heir of a big gaming company gets a glimpse of her strength. 

But, suddenly kidnapping incidents of young women became frequent in Do Bong Soon’s neighborhood.

Eventually, the professional relationship turns into something more between Min Hyuk and Bong Soon as they work together to catch the kidnapper with the help of Bong Soon’s childhood friend and police officer, In Guk Doo.

11. Master’s Sun (2013)

Starring: So Ji Sub as Joo Joong Won, Gong Hyo Jin as Tae Gong Shil, and Seo In Guk as Kang Woo.

Plot: In this fantasy Kdrama, Tae Gong Shil, who can see ghosts, meets Joo Joong Won.

To her surprise, the ghosts around her suddenly vanish whenever she touches Joo Joong Won.

The duo team up to exchange favors to help Gong Shil handle her ghost problem and Joong Won find his lost fortune.     

12. The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)

Starring: Lee Min Ho as Lee Gon, Kim Go Eun as Jeong Tae Eul / Luna, and Woo Do Hwan as Jo Eun Sub.

Plot: If there’s one thing we know about Lee Min Ho, it’s that he always kills the chaebol role in rich boy poor girl Kdramas.

The story takes place in a parallel reality where Lee Gon is an Emperor of the Korean Empire.

A passed-along flute makes him move through a mysterious portal and transport to the realm of the modern-day republic of South Korea where he meets a gutsy police officer, Jeong Tae Eul. 

Together, they go through all the twists and turns while fighting with their enemies and counterparts in the two parallel worlds. 

13. The Master Seducer/Tempted (2018)

Starring: Woo Do Hwan as Kwon Si Hyeon, Joy as Eun Tae Hee, and Moon Ga Young as Choi Su Ji.

Plot: The story begins when an insufferable rich heir and playboy, Kwon Shi Hyun, accepts the challenge of her childhood friend to seduce Eun Tae Hee.

His plan becomes complicated when he starts developing deep feelings for his supposed-to-be-victim. What follows is a saga of pain, heartbreak, and love.  

14. I’m Not A Robot (2017)

Starring: Yoo Seung Ho as Kim Min Kyu, Chae Soo Bin as Jo Ji Ah, and Um Ki Joon as Hong Baek Kyun.

Plot: Allergic to human contact, Kim Min Hyu is interested in investing in a robotic project headed by Hong Baek Kyun who developed a robot, Aji 3, modeled on his ex-girlfriend Jo Ji Ah. 

However, things become messy when Aji 3 starts malfunctioning just before the test run by Kim Min Kyu.

After much pleading from Hong Baek Hyun, Jo Ji Ah agrees to take the place of her robot replica and enters the isolated and lonely world of Kim Min Kyu.

15. My Secret Romance (2017)

Starring: Sung Hoon as Cha Jin Wook, Song Ji Eun as Lee Yoo Mi, and Kim Jae Young as Jung Hyun Tae.

Plot: After a brief encounter following a one-night stand three years ago, Cha Jin Wook and Lee Yoo Mi meet again as boss and employee.

This time around, Cha Jin Wook pretends to be annoyed with Lee Yoo Mi and creates trouble for her in their workplace.

However, their feelings run deeper than an ordinary work relationship, and we are treated to a delightful and funny romance between two spectacular actors.   

16. Uncontrollably Fond (2016)

Starring: Kim Woo Bin as Shin Joon Young, Bae Suzy as Noh Eul, and Lim Ju Hwan as Choi Ji Tae. 

Plot:  Two high school sweethearts meet after years as famous actor Shin Joon Young and documentary producer Noh Eul, only to find out how much they have changed.

But, as soon as they reunite, the secrets from their pasts start to emerge.

Their already complicated story takes a heart-breaking turn when No Eul gets to know that Shin Joon Yoong only has a few months to live.  

17. The Heirs (2013)

Starring: Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan, Park Shin Hye as Cha Eun Sang, and Kim Woo Bin as Choi Young Do.

Plot: Cha Eun Sang goes to the US to look for her sister and bumps into Kim Tan who soon falls in love with her despite being engaged to a rich heiress Rachel Yoo.

He returns to Korea to follow Cha Eun Sang and discovers that she is the daughter of his mother’s maid-servant. 

Adding to the already existing complications, his best friend-turned-enemy, Choi Young Do, develops feelings for Cha Eun Sang.

The story continues as these young high school students grow into responsible adults while dealing with their own emotions and complicated relationships with their families. 

Heirs has a healthy dose of drama and romance, and if you really enjoy watching the lives of the rich and affluent, then this is one rich boy and poor girl Kdrama you’ll want to consider checking out. 

18. It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014)

Starring: Jo In Sung as Jang Jae Yeol, Gong Hyo Jin as Ji Hae Soo, and Lee Kwang Soo as Park Soo Kwang.

Plot: Jang Jae Yeol, a bestselling author, suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder due to traumatic experiences with his abusive father.

He meets psychiatrist Ji Hae Soo who is ambitious yet compassionate.

Their strong personalities cause some initial friction as they are both stubborn, but love and healing find roots between them until they discover that Jae Yeol’s mental state is much worse than they assumed.

19. Boys Over Flowers (2009)

Starring: Ku Hye Sun as Geum Jan Di, Lee Min Ho as Gu Jun Pyo, and Kim Hyun Joong as Yoon Ji Hu.

Plot: Just as in other dramas, Lee Min Ho dazzles in this rich boy and poor girl Korean drama that features a very unlikely couple, and explores friendship and love in all its facets. 

Geum Jan Di joins the prestigious school for rich heirs, Shinwa, as a scholarship student but soon gets on the bad side of Gu Jun Pyo, the spoiled heir of Shinwa and leader of F4, a group of South Korea’s four richest and most good-looking heirs. 

At first, Geum Jan Di feels attracted to Yoon Ji Hu, the second member of F4 who is no less than a knight in shining armor for Geum Jan Di and often finds her just in time when she needs help.

But the story takes a turn when the constant bantering between Geum Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo starts turning into love.  

20. Cinderella And Four Knights (2016)

Starring: Park So Dam as Eun Ha Won, Jung Il Woo as Kang Ji Woon, and Ahn Jae Hyun as Kang Hyun Min.

Plot: Mistreated by her stepmom and step-sister, Eun Ha Won meets the chairman of Haneul Group and receives the offer to move into Haneul Mansion to turn his spoiled grandsons into humans. 

And, that is how Eun Ha Won’s life gets entangled with the rebel Kang Ji Woon, playboy Kang Hyun Min and good-for-nothing Kang Seo Woo as their grandfather likes to call them.

But there is a rule that our Cinderella must abide by. No, it’s not about returning home before midnight. The Haneul Mansion is a NO DATING ZONE!

21. Flower Boy Ramen Shop / Cool Guys Hot Ramen (2011)

Starring: Jung Il Woo as Cha Chi Soo, Lee Chung Ah as Yang Eun Bi, and Lee Ki Woo as Choi Kang Hyuk.

Plot: Before starting her student-teaching internship, Yang Eun Bi meets Cha Chi Soo who has a way to mesmerize women with his looks.

Eun Bi also falls victim to his charm but soon discovers that he is a much younger high school student and the only son of the conglomerate that owns the school she has just joined.

Both realize immediately that they are not each other’s ideal type, yet they feel the strange pull that keeps bringing them closer to each other as the story unfolds.

22. Business Proposal (2022)

Starring: Ahn Hyo Seop as Kang Tae Moo, Kim Se Jeong as Shin Ha Ri, and Kim Min Kyu as Cha Sung Hoon.

Plot: After being asked by her friend, Jin Young Seo, Shin Ha Ri goes out on a blind date pretending to be Jin Young Seo with the intention to make the date reject her. 

But, unknown to her, her blind date is Kang Tae Moo, the CEO of the company she works for.

Things become more interesting when she gets to know that Kang Tae Moo wants to get married to the girl he met on the blind date.

23. Memories Of The Alhambra (2018)

Starring: Hyun Bin as Yoo Jin Woo, Park Shin Hye as Jung Hee Joo / Emma, and Chanyeol as Jung Se Joo.

Plot: The CEO of an investment company, Yoo Jin Woo, receives a mysterious email about a revolutionary augmented reality (AR) game based on the medieval battles in Alhambra. 

Intrigued by the idea, Yoo Jin Woo travels all the way to Granada, Spain to find the game inventor Jung Je Soo and ends up meeting Je Soo’s older sister Jung Hee Joo.

Yoo Jin Woo is initially fascinated by the AR world that Jung Je Soo created but it turns into a big challenge for him and Jung Hee Joo when the AR world starts merging with the real world.  

24. Secret Garden (2010)

Starring: Ha Ji Won as Gil Ra Im, Hyun Bin as Kim Joo Won, and Yoon Sang Hyun as Choi Woo Young.

Plot: The story revolves around the rich CEO Kim Joo Won and stuntwoman Gil Ra Im.

By some magic, Gil Ra Im and Kim Joo Woon start switching bodies with each other.

This leads to a series of unexpected incidents which eventually bring them close to each other as they try to navigate through the troubles caused by their body-switching. 

And, if you like this trope about switching bodies, then you might enjoy Heavenly Idol.

25. Scent of a Woman (2011)

Starring: Kim Sun A as Lee Yeon Jae, Lee Dong Wook as Kang Ji Wook, and Um Ki Joon as Chae Eun Suk.

Plot: Side-lined by society for being timid, falsely accused by clients, and blamed by her colleagues at the company she worked for 10 years, Lee Yeon Jae’s life isn’t a walk in the ballpark.

Just when she thinks that things cannot be worse, she gets diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. 

Realizing that she never really lived once for herself, Lee Yeon Jae resigns and travels to Japan where she meets Kang Ji Wook, the man of her dreams and the son of the owner of the company she worked for.

Falling in love that is fated for a permanent separation, they live a bittersweet time fulfilling the dreams from Yeon Jae’s Bucket List.

Storyline- the main lead was a businessman he was CEO but somehow he got information about his grandfather. His grandfather was suffering through illness and due to his business he neglect his grandfather. Main lead’s friend handled to take care of his grandfather. There was a female lead also she also take care of hero’s grandfather because he was kind neighbor.

Due to an old cellphone main lead do time travel and went in past. Minimum 10/15 years back main lead time travels. When he was in school.

So after time travel When he saw his grandfather he got emotional and hugged tightly. Main lead’s relationship with his dad wasn’t good but later (in his present) he also became like him and focused to earn money. But he wanted to change himself.

When he went to school he met to female lead. Male lead was quite good in maths so he was focused to find the equation behind time travelling. Female lead has a best friend. But female lead was attracted towards male lead. So, she believed and helped him to solve the theory of time travel.

Here the main tool of time travelling was an old Handphone.

One thing added- male lead was perfect in maths on the other hand girl has bad luck. Please drop the drama name. I am unable to find the name.
Because I don’t remember the actors who were in that drama. Previously due to some personal reasons I had to drop the drama without finishing it. This is drama about time travel. Male lead has a grandfather. Grandfather makes only one dish for grandson it kinda a headache for grandson. Male lead’s relationship with his dad wasn’t good. In some scenes female lead gave cycle cum cart ride to male lead to reach the school. Please tell me drama name if you know.
