They start to love each other, and this top-rated romantic Chinese drama on Netflix is super popular for a reason – a talented cast, swoony romance, and an amazing plotline.

In 2012, at Yucai Middle School, a happy transfer student named Su Zai Zai arrived.

In this interesting top-rated romantic set in a small town, Xu Hong Dou, a city woman from the hotel industry, faces a crisis after her best friend’s death.
Struggling with work, she decides to escape to Yun Miao village in Yunnan for peace.
Life there, with animal-filled fields, isn’t what she expected, and she finds balance and meets others from the city seeking tranquility, including Xie Zhi Yao, who left a well-paid job to promote Yun Miao.

Dongfang Qing Cang, once of the Moon Tribe, became a ruthless monster with immense power.
He caused havoc, endangering realms like Shuiyuntian, Cangyan Sea, and Yunmeng Lake.
So, the first God of War sacrificed herself to seal him away and only the missing Goddess of Xishan can prevent his return.
Thousands of years later, Orchid, a humble flower fairy, stumbles into Haotian Tower and encounters Dongfang Qing Cang, setting off a perilous chain of events.

7. The Story of Ming Lan
Set in the Northern Song dynasty, the story follows Sheng Ming Lan, a clever but unfavored 6th daughter born to a concubine.
Raised by her paternal grandmother, Ming Lan learns to navigate a treacherous family dynamic where no love exists.
She then crosses paths with Gu Ting Ye, the straightforward second son of a wealthy marquis.
He falls prey to plots, losing everything, and together, Ming Lan and Ting Ye use cunning and daring to rise and seek justice against their enemies.
This top-rated period Chinese romance drama is literally everything, and I loved the way the two slowly but surely fell for each other.
8. Eternal Love
Bai Qian, the youngest daughter of the Fox King, becomes a disciple of the God of War, Mo Yuan, at Kunlun Mountain.
A war leads to Mo Yuan sacrificing himself to seal a demon lord.
Thousands of years later, Bai Qian loses her memories and powers while trying to reseal the demon lord.
She saves Crown Prince Ye Hua, her heavenly fiancé, in the mortal realm, who resembles Mo Yuan.
They fall in love without knowing each other’s true identities, entangled in a love story that spans three lives and worlds.

9. Story of Yanxi Palace
In 18th-century Beijing, Wei Ying Luo enters the Forbidden City to uncover the truth about her sister’s rape and murder.
Suspecting Imperial Guard Fuca Fuheng, she becomes a maid to Empress Fuca Rongyin.
And as Empress mentors her, Fuca Fuheng falls for her and she clears the Fuca siblings’ names.

This is another one of the best well-received historical romantic Chinese dramas that I loved a whole lot, and I feel everyone should watch it atleast once.
10. You Are My Glory
This drama follows aerospace engineer Yu Tu and celebrity Qiao Jing Jing.
To save her endorsement deal, Qiao starts gaming and reunites with her old crush, Yu Tu, a skilled gamer, and they start working together to shine in the gaming world.
But, when a video of Qiao’s poor gameplay leaks, threatening her image, she enters a competition to prove herself.
Through dedication, she reconnects with Yu Tu, asking him to be her gaming coach, rekindling their old connection.

11. Love And Redemption
A millennium after the celestial battle, the Star of Mosha and God of War’s souls are sent to the mortal realm as punishment.

In 626 C.E., the Xuanwu Gate Incident shook Chang’an as a prince seized the Tang Dynasty’s throne.
Li Chang Ge, who lost her family in the coup, seeks revenge and raises an army.
But, she faces defeat against the Eastern Turkic Khaganate. General Ashile Sun, her conqueror, keeps her as a strategist, and they form a strong military partnership.
As they work together, they both grapple with developing feelings for each other, complicating their relationship.
This is another top-rated romantic Chinese drama that’s simply stunning in every way that counts and if you want a gem that will draw you in for hours, I can’t recommend this more.

13. Lost You Forever
In the divided world of Dahuang, Xiyan and Chenrong were at war, with General Princess leading Xiyan to victory, and she left behind her daughter, Xiao Yao, and nephew, Cang Xuan.
Separated, Xiao Yao endured hardships and, 300 years later, changed her gender and identity, running a clinic as Wen Xiao Liu.
In a town beyond Xiyan and Haoling’s control, she encounters a diverse group, including a servant, a wine-maker, and a demon military advisor.
These meetings in Qingshiui Town set the stage for significant changes in Dahuang’s future.
14. One and Only
Zhou Sheng Chen, raised by his brother the Emperor, becomes a loyal general.
And Cui Shi Yi, once betrothed to the Crown Prince, loses her voice due to political intrigue.
When the terms change, she’s engaged to the sickly future Crown Prince, and Zhou Sheng Chen takes her as his disciple to ease tensions.
Cui Shi Yi then moves to Zhou Manor, and despite their differences, they form a strong bond, but their principles and palace politics complicate their relationship, risking further entanglement in power struggles.
